Thailand Rice Export Prices Little Changed Thursday

Physical rice export prices in Thailand were little changed Thursday as most buyers delayed making new deals in anticipation of a softening in prices

Buyers expect Thai prices to come down as the Philippines, the world's largest importer of the grain this year, agreed to buy its remaining requirement for the year from Vietnam. The Philippines signed a deal earlier this month to buy 600,000 MT of rice from Vietnam.

Thai 100% grade B was offered steady Thursday at $760-$860 PMT, FOB, 5% broken at $750-$840 PMT, FOB and parboiled 100% sortexed at $850-$928 PMT, FOB.
