Vietnam Rice Export Prices Steady Wednesday

Vietnamese rice export prices were steady Wednesday amid quiet trade even as the government, last week, lifted a ban preventing private exporters from signing new deals.

Despite ample supply in the market and limited demand, exporters are unable to reduce their prices as the government has set a minimum price of $800 PMT for rice shipments.

Vietnam's 5% broken was offered steady Wednesday at $800-$850 PMT, FOB.
