Vietnamese Export Prices Higher On Strong Global Demand

Vietnamese rice export prices jumped more than 30% in the week ended Tuesday on high global demand, even as the government has banned companies from signing new export contracts to maintain domestic food security.

In the Mekong delta region, private traders were quoting high-quality 5% broken rice at $1,000 PMT, FOB up from$750 PMT, FOB last week. They didn't offer 25% broken grade.
