Asian Export Prices Likely To Be Stable This Week

By news desk on April 09,2008

Rice export prices in Thailand and Vietnam are unlikely to fall and are likely to remain at current levels during the rest of this week despite sharp losses in Tuesday's Chicago Board of Trade rice contracts.

However, traders in Thailand and Pakistan said white rice prices could see some easing as the current high levels could damp demand.

The Philippines rice tender for 5000,000 MT to be concluded on April 17 is being keenly watched by market experts for near-term price direction.
