Thailand Rice Export Prices Higher On Heavy Demand

Physical rice export prices in Thailand rose Thursday with prices being boosted by the ongoing heavy demand amid tight supplies as farmers begin to harvest the main crop.

Although the bulk of Thailand's fresh supply from the main crop isn't likely to hit the market until next year, Thai 100% grade B was offered higher Thursday at $375-$380 PMT, FOB, 5% broken at $365-$370 and parboiled 100% sortexed at $390 PMT, FOB.
