Thailand Rice Export Prices Higher On Strong Demand

Thailand rice export prices were sharply higher in the week to Monday on strong domestic and overseas demand as well as dwindling paddy supplies as fresh supplies from the main harvest is likely to arrive by only late December.

On Monday, Thai 100% grade B was offered at $360-$370 PMT, FOB and 5% broken at $355-$359 PMT, FOB while parboiled 100% sortexed was offered at $380-$385 PMT, FOB. These prices are higher by about $10 from last week.
