Vietnam Rice Export Prices Steady Wednesday

Rices export prices in Vietnam were steady Wednesday as the government's ongoing ban on new export contracts has prevented local companies from quoting any new offers.

Exporters are fulfilling outstanding contracts of about 500,000 MT of rice to Cuba, Africa, Indonesia and the Philippines by the end of this year before they can sign new contracts.

Indicative prices for 5% broken rice was unchanged Wednesday at $325 PMT, FOB, while the 25% broken grade was at $300 PMT, FOB.
