Thailand Rice Export Prices Steady Amid High Demand

Rice export prices in Thailand were offered steady to higher Wednesday from last Friday, backed by strong buying interest and the government's new rice intervention program.

The Thai government is raising intervention prices by THB300 PMT from the previous intervention program, to reflect higher market prices.

Thai 100% grade B was offered $1 higher Wednesday at $340-$345 PMT, FOB, 5% broken was steady at $332-$338 PMT, FOB and parboiled 100% sortexed was $1 higher at $347-$348 PMT, FOB.
