Vietnam Rice Export Prices Unchanged Tuesday

Vietnamese rice export prices were unchanged in the week to Tuesday even as the ongoing government ban on new export contracts continues to be in place.


According to sources, the Vietnamese government wants domestic companies to fulfill their existing delivery contracts of about 500,000 MT to Cuba, Africa, Indonesia and the Philippines by the end of this year before they can sign new contracts.

Indicative prices Tuesday for high-quality 5% broken rice was quoted at $320 PMT, FOB while the 25% broken grade was quoted at $300 PMT, FOB both unchanged from last week.
