Vietnamese rice export prices were mostly unchanged in the week to Tuesday, while local supply continues to rise.

The farmers have completed harvesting in half of the rice-growing areas in the region. The entire region is expected to be done by end-April.

The Ministry of Agriculture said that so far this year Vietnamese companies have signed contracts to export 3 million MT of rice, of a total target of 4 million-4.5 million MT set for this year.

In Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta region, traders quoted indicative prices for high-quality 5% broken rice at $305 PMT and 25% broken grade at $285 PMT, both were unchanged compared with last week.
