By news desk on March 12,2007

Thai physical rice prices were offered unchanged in the week to Monday in lackluster trade as most buyers were just making inquiries but not signing new contracts.

Last week, Thailand sold 180,000 MT of 100% grade B rice to Iran. Meanwhile, local prices have remained firm as the bulk of the country's second crop harvest is yet to arrive in the market.

Thai 100% grade B was offered Monday at $329-$332 PMT, FOB, and 5% broken was quoted at $320-$323 PMT, while parboiled 100% sortexed was offered at $326-$330 PMT. These prices were unchanged from offers made a week earlier.
