CBOT Rice Review: Rough Rice End Higher Monday

Rough rice futures ended higher Monday amid short covering following recent losses, as the market remains range-bound and much of the day’s volume was in spread trading

The market ended near the day’s highs, and was joined by corn, wheat and soybeans in gains off a weaker dollar. Traders are awaiting Tuesday’s supply and demand report, which will be released at 8:30 a.m. EST. March rice ended up 21 cents to $14.29 1/2 per cwt, and May rice ended up 22 cents to $14.61 1/2.
