USDA Export Sales Highlights

Net sales reductions of 1,800 MT resulted as increases for Haiti (6,200 MT), Mexico (3,000 MT), the United Kingdom (2,000 MT), and Canada (1,300 MT), were more than offset by decreases for El Salvador (7,000 MT), Panama (4,400 MT), Jordan (2,700 MT), and the Dominican Republic (2,500 MT).  Net sales of 22,200 MT for delivery in 2008/09 were for the Leeward and Windward Islands (10,500 MT), El Salvador (7,000 MT), and the Dominican Republic (4,700 MT).  Exports of 87,300 MT were 33 percent below the previous week, but 4 percent above the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Panama (39,400 MT), Mexico (33,900 MT), Canada (3,100 MT), Jordan (1,600 MT), Israel (1,400 MT), Taiwan (1,200 MT), and Turkey (1,200 MT).
