First Rice Shipment Arrives In Panama

The first shipment of 513,000 cwt of imported concerned rice has arrived at the port of Balboa (Panama) to avoid the shortage of supplies. Between end of April and early May are schedule the arrival of two new shipments.

According to Mida, even that still are rice stocks coming from the national production and imports guarantee regular provision. The rice has been provided by The Rice Company. The rice consumption in Panama is of 477.650 cwt monthly or 15, 900 cwt daily.
