Iraq Seeking To Buy 60,000 MT

Iraq’s state-run grain board has issued a statement announcing a new tender to buy a nominal amount of 60,000 MT of rice. The bidders will have to submit their offers by Feb. 22 and bids would be valid until Feb. 28.


Last time Iraq bought rice was in December, when it bought 190,000 MT for delivery in the next few weeks. Iraq needs to buy 1.5 million MT of rice a year.
