Pakistan: Basmati rice production to be increased

In a bid to increase the export of Basmati rice in international market due to its rising demand, the Pakistani government is planning to increase its production.

There is high demand of Basmati rice in international market and this high quality Basmati rice was exported from the both, Pakistan and India, in international market.

However, this year, the low production of Basmati rice in India has increased the demand of international market to import more Basmati rice from Pakistan than ever before.
