Spanish Rice Consumption Update

The rice consumption in Spain increased during the three first months of the year (55.9 million kilos, in relation to the 51.8 million kilos during the same period of 2006), which supposes an increase of 7,8%.

The rice consumption per capita, according to the Panel of Consumption of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Feeding (MAP), was of 1.6 kilos.
