Caribbean: Jamaica, Guyana Look To Resolve Import Dispute

A trade dispute between Jamaica and Guyana initiated by Jamaica's intent to import rice from outside CARICOM seems to have been averted as Jamaican Commerce Minister, Karl Samuda, said that both countries are determined to resolve their differences via talks.

Jamaican Commerce Minister, Karl Samuda had a meeting with with Guyana's Agriculture Minister, Robert Persuad last Thursday, creating a better understanding and looking for a way forward for both caribbean nations.
