Vietnam's Export Earnings Reach $268 Million

According to a report on the website of the Vietnam Food Association, VFA, the country has managed to export about 674,800 MT of rice so far this year, earning about 268 million U.S. dollars.

Vietnam, the world's second-largest rice exporter after Thailand has targeted to export 4.5 to 5 million MT this year. In 2008, Vietnam exported about 4.67 million MT, worth 2.66 billion U.S. dollars.
