Vietnam Rice Exports Reach 3.58 Million MT

According to the recent stats released by the Vietnam Food Association, VFA, Vietnam has exported 3.58 million MT of rice in the first nine months of 2008, including 373,000 MT in September alone.

The increase of exported volume was resulted from flexible management, further demand from Africa, Middle East and the recovery of several new markets. Rice exporters are striving to export 1-1.2 million MT of rice in the fourth quarter so as to reach the target of 4.6 million MT in 2008.
