Vietnamese companies will sell a total of 17,050 MT of rice to Japan.

This marks the third time that Vietnamese companies have won rice contracts from Japan this year. The rice will be sold at an average price of $459.16 PMT.

The report didn't provide a delivery timetable. So far this year, including the latest deal, Vietnamese companies have contracted to sell a total of 45,050 MT of rice to Japan.

Last month, Vietnam Food Association said it targets to export 170,000 MT of rice to Japan this year, compared with 130,000 MT in 2006.
