Thailand To Sell Jasmine Rice In Futures Market

The Thailand government is finalizing plans to send jasmine rice in the government’s stock to a futures market to stimulate the rice export in the last half of 2008.

Jasmine rice from the government’s stock is likely to start to be sold in the futures market of AFET on July 14th this year. Thai jasmine rice has a high economic value and helps make Thai rice well known worldwide.
