Thailand Offers To Sell 300,000 MT To Malaysia

Thailand has offered to sell 300,000 MT of rice to Malaysia from its existing 2.1 million MT rice stock under a government-to-government arrangement,.

According to Thai Government officials, the offer has been made in response to Malaysia's request for 500,000 MT last week.

Thailand has recently stopped all government-to-government arrangements following the high rice price in the world market, which is currently hovering above the US$1,000 (RM3,197) mark.
