FAO Praises Thailand For Continuing Exports

United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has praised Thailand for not suspending its rice exports to the world market amid a growing global food crisis.

Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Asia and the Pacific (RAP) of the FAO, He Changchui engaged in a one-hour talk with Thai Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Sompat Kaewpichit on the world food price crisis and the challenge of world food sustainability.


The FAO Assistant Director-General asked Thailand to remain a sustainable producer with continued improvements of its production technology and capacity to meet the rising demand of the world market.
