Thailand To Auction 821,394 MT

Thailand's Commerce Ministry has announced an auction of 821,394 MT of paddy rice on Tuesday from its 2004-05 and 2005-06 crop years.

The ministry is offering jasmine fragrant grade and white 5% broken grade accumulated under the government's two previous rice intervention programs.

Of the total, 245,061 MT is white 5% broken rice from the 2004-05 crop year, 200,000 MT is white 5% broken from the 2005-06 crop year, and 376,333 MT is jasmine fragrant rice from both crop years.
