Thailand: Methane Cut Likely To Effect Rice Output

Thailand's rice production is likely to be effected as the country's environment ministry is asking farmers to cut methane emissions from paddy fields to combat global warming.


However Thailand's  Ministry of Agriculture & Cooperatives has said that the proposal to drain rice fields periodically would be impractical, and implementation should be delayed while more significant causes of global warming are addressed.
