Philippines: Seven Firms agree to sell 123,750 MT rice

Seven trading firms agreed to sell a total of 123,750 MT of rice for arrival in the Philippines no later than June. A a source at the National Food Authority (NFA) said on Wednesday that the volume included 103,750 MTof rice from four Vietnamese firms, the source from the NFA, the rice importing arm of the Philippine government.

The Philippines had sought to buy up to 145,000 MT of rice at the same terms and prices from suppliers who won contracts at its February 28 tender.
