Philippine Jan-Mar Output Lower Than Target

According to the Philippines Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap, Philippine rice output in the first three months of the year grew by almost 2% to reach 3.75 million MT on higher productivity.

The output, however, is lower than an earlier forecast of 4.02 million MT due to unfavorable weather conditions in some major producing areas.
