Philippine Jan-Jun Rice Output To Rise

Philippine rice output in the first half of the year is expected to rise by almost 6.33 % due to favorable weather from a year earlier to reach 7.15 million MT.

The agriculture department has attributed the expected increase to the easy availability of water following the rehabilitation of irrigation facilities in major rice producing regions in the country.
