Pakistan Imposes Minimum Export Prices On Four Grades

Pakistan's Ministry of Commerce has imposed minimum export prices on four grades of rice on April 30 prompted by the rising domestic food prices.

The minimum export price for super basmati rice has been set at $1,500 PMT, FOB; basmati at $1,300 PMT; broken white rice - called IRRI-6 -at $750 PMT; and long-grain rice (IRRI-9) at $1,000 PMT.
