Pakistan: Small Exporters Face The Heat

Small and medium-sized rice exporters in Pakistan have stopped taking orders because of the ongoing high prices and lack of easy availability of the commodity in the local market.

With no signs of prices stabilizing, rice exporters have been advised by experts not to sell without first procuring the grain from millers due to daily increase in prices. Rice prices in Pakistan rose by $35 PMT last week putting both SME exporters and SME grocers in hot waters.
