Japan To Supply 200,000 MT To Philippines

According to the Philippines agriculture department, Japan has agreed to supply up to 200,000 MT of premium grade rice in principle to the Philippines at prices that could hover below $900 PMT, C&F.

 Earlier this week, Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap said the department might sign a rice deal with Japan for 60,000 MT of rice.

The world's largest importer of the grain this year, the Philippines have already signed contracts to buy 2.43 million MT.
