Rice production in Central Java`s Kudus district is predicted to lose around 47,392 MT of unhulled rice in the 2007-2008 planting season due to floods that hit the district recently.

In the previous planting season, the region produced almost 56,517 MT of dried unhusked rice but is expected to harvest only 9,000 MT of rice this year due to the damage to the crops by the recent floods.

Kudos district was the worst affected by the recent floods in Indonesia and damaged crops in Kudus as well as the sub districts of Undaan, Jekulo, Mejobo, Jati and Kaliwungu.
