The Indonesian government has projected that the country would be ready to export one million MT of rice this year despite reports of crop failures due to massive flooding in parts of the country.

According to the director general for foodstuffs and horticulture, Sutarto Ali Muso, the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) would be able to accumulate a total of 63.5 million MT of unhusked rice this year (equal to 40 million MT of hulled rice), despite the recent floods.
