Indonesia's Stockpiles Reach Record Levels

Indonesia's current rice stockpiles have touched 1.8 million MT becoming one of the biggest ever rice stockpile in the last 10 years in the country's history.

According to the recent government estimates, national rice production is expected to increase by some 6 % to 35 million MT in 2008 from last year's 33 million MT.
