India Jun 1-Jul 18 Rice Planting Up On Year

According to the latest data released by the agriculture ministry, India's summer-sown rice crop was planted on 14.89 million hectares as of July 18, up from 12.12 million hectares a year ago.

India's summer crop plantings mostly take place between June and September as they are driven by the monsoon and pre-monsoon rains.
