Bangladesh Seeks FAO's Support To Reach Self-Sufficiency

Bangladesh's Foreign Adviser has revealed that Bangladesh is seeking help and support from the UN food-agency Food and Agriculture Organization, FAO in order to attain self-sufficiency in rice production.

The Food and Agriculture Organisation Representative AD Spijkers met Bangladesh's Foreign Adviser Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury and expressed optimism that the matter of FAO support to Bangladesh in attaining self-sufficiency in rice would materialize in the near future.
